Back to Stationery Shopping

Back to Stationery Shopping #AtoZchallenge blog post by @JLenniDorner August 2017

In my neck of the woods, it’s the time of year when all the stores overflow with stationery, all of which is on sale. For parents and children, this is known as “back to school shopping.”

For writers, this is known as “fueling for the addiction.” (I’d tell you I’m kidding, but my wallet would disagree. Also, I have habit of sniffing… deeply inhaling… new notebooks. That scent is “the good stuff.” Am I alone in this?)

Here’s an A to Z stationery shopping list:

  1. What words might you suggest for K, Q, U, X, or Z?
K – Kanex (a brand name available through Office Max). They sell mainly computer components like flash drives, cables and the like..they also produce markers (hilighters)
Q – Quality Park (another brand name) envelopes
U – U.S. Stamp & Sign inkpads (variety of colors) and stamps (reusable, good for scrapbooking, but also for giving a school kid something unique on their paperwork (do they even use PAPER any more or is it all electronic?)
    X – X-Acto pencil sharpener (and the obvious one X-Acto knives..but I’m not sure that’s a tool for a school age child)
Z – Z-grip retractable gel pens… these are common for back to school.

I’d be happy to host an A-Z challenge if you’d like, give me a topic or select from these: cooking, art (painting or drawing), herbs, plants and flowers…I’d be happy to do one. 🙂

Cheers! It’s great to see you back in the reader!
